Angie Faraci

Director Of Operations / U14 & Under Girls

Angie Faraci

Coach Angie Faraci is the head coach of the Lamoille Union High School boys' varsity soccer program as of Fall 2024. She also serves as the Director of Operations and U14 & Under girls program coach at Vermont United Soccer Academy (VTUSA), now in her third year in the role and tenth year coaching with the club.

At Lamoille, Coach Faraci has brought the same transformational leadership that defined her success at Peoples Academy—where she elevated the boys’ soccer program from 11th in the league to state runners-up in just one year, ultimately guiding the team to three state championship appearances and two Division III State Titles in eight seasons. Now coaching in Division II, she has already made a significant impact at Lamoille. Under her direction, the team earned wins the school hadn’t seen in more than 30 years, secured its first home playoff berth in five years, and posted one of its strongest records in recent memory. The team is now competitive in games that were once lopsided losses, often leading or tying late into matches. Coach Faraci’s commitment to player development, belief-building, and program culture has the Lamoille boys’ soccer program clearly on the rise.

In 2021, Faraci was named head coach of the Twin State Lions Cup, a prestigious all-star team composed of the top 20 high school boys' players from across Vermont (Divisions 1-4). She made history as the first female head coach of the program, leading her team to a 1-1 draw against New Hampshire in the annual July match.

Faraci made history once again as the first woman in Vermont to win a boys' state championship, leading Peoples Academy to two Division 3 State Titles in 2020 and 2022. She has been named Vermont Small School Coach of the Year twice (2017, 2020) and was honored as the 2020 Vermont Soccer Coach of the Year. She was also named 2020 Regional Coach of the Year for High School Boys Small School - Fall New England. She holds an NSCAA National Diploma and brings more than 35 years of coaching experience across multiple levels.

Her coaching career includes:

  • Head coach of the 2021 Twin State Lions Cup Vermont boys’ team

  • Seven years as boys' varsity coach at Peoples Academy

  • 13 years as a head coach and staff coach at Nordic Premier Soccer Club (girls' teams, ages 10-18)

  • 10 years as head coach of Browns River Middle School (BRMS) girls' soccer

  • Three years as head women’s coach at Johnson State College

  • Six years as varsity program director and head coach at Johnstown High School

As a player, Faraci was a standout at SUNY Cortland, helping lead her team to the 1992 NCAA Division III National Championship. She was named to the 1992 NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team and earned All-SUNYAC and All-Region honors multiple times. She captained her team in 1995.

Faraci holds a Health Education Certification (K-12), a Master’s degree in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology (SUNY-Albany), and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (K-12) with a coaching concentration from SUNY-Cortland.

She has been a Physical Education and Wellness teacher at Peoples Academy Middle Level (PAML) in Morrisville, VT, since 2018 and received the 2018 Vermont Distinguished Service Award in Teaching Physical Education.

As the Director of Operations for Vermont United Soccer Academy in Morrisville, VT, Angie oversees the daily functioning and long-term development of the club. Her responsibilities include managing player registration, organizing training schedules, coordinating leagues and tournaments, supporting coaches, and ensuring a high-quality experience for every athlete and family in the program. Angie works closely with staff and community partners to build a strong, player-centered environment that emphasizes growth, inclusion, and competitive excellence. Her leadership helps guide the club’s vision, strengthens its programs, and supports the continued development of young players across the region.

Faraci lives in northern Vermont with her husband, Vincent, who is the athletic trainer at Lamoille Union High School. Their son, Marcus (15), plays soccer at LUHS, while their older son, Vance (19), is now in college. They enjoy outdoor activities with their two dogs, Cookie and Joey.
