Dana Bourne

U12 Girls

Dana is a lifelong Vermonter and soccer player, who's coaching career began while attending Saint Michael's College. She coached youth soccer through the Essex Youth Soccer Program, but got her first formal coaching position in the fall of 2021. She acted as the Assistant Varsity Coach for the Peoples Academy Girls soccer team in 2021, then was recruited by the Lamoille Union High School girls’ varsity program. Dana has been the Lamoille girls' junior varsity head coach since the fall of 2022. Since joining as a junior varsity coach in 2022, she has helped support the varsity players and coaching staff throughout the regular and postseason.

As a player, Dana grew up in Lamoille County, playing year-round for Morrisville Youth Soccer. Dana played for several travel club teams, an Olympic Development Program team, and her high school team; where Dana was a captain her senior year, and led her team to a repeat division III state championship. She attended Saint Michael's College (graduating in 2014), playing on a club team as well as in year-round coed adult leagues (which she still plays in!). Dana has a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, a master's degree in Public Health, and has worked for the Vermont Department of Health since July 2020. 

Dana is going into her second-year coaching for Vermont United Soccer Academy.
